  2.                              Vampire Knights v.2.8

  5.     To install Vampire Knights, create a directory for the game and copy
  6. all of the files from VK28.ZIP to that directory.  Change to that directory
  7. and execute INSTALL.BAT.  This will extract all of the files required by
  8. Vampire Knights into the proper directories.
  9.  
  10.     After completing the above process, read the file SYSOP.DOC for
  11. complete instructions on setting up Vampire Knights for your system.

  13.     If you are upgrading from a previous version of Vampire Knights there
  14. may be changes or additions to Vampire Knights configuration files.  You
  15. should load GAME.CFG into RUDE_CFG.EXE and make whatever modifications are
  16. needed.  You should also read the file WHATS.NEW to see what changes and
  17. additions have been made to Vampire Knights.

  19.                         *** Important!  Please read! ***

  21.     Vampire Knights version 2.6 uses a different format to save player
  22. statistics.  If you are upgrading from a previous version, INSTALL.BAT
  23. will delete your old USER.* files.  Before executing this new version for
  24. the first time, you must execute RUDE_CFG.EXE and Initialize the User
  25. Files by selecting the [U] option.

  27.     Vampire Knights version 2.4 now uses the IPC Path to store messages to
  28. players on both single and multi-node setups.  Make sure that the IPC Path
  29. setting in your configuration file is valid and that the directory exists
  30. on your drive.
